Designated Funds
4-H of Washington County Youth Fund
 The 4-H of Washington County Youth Fund was established in 2007 to provide funding to support the mission of the Washington County 4-H Advisory Committee.  This funding will support the following:  scholarships for youth to attend state/national youth development camps/activities; recruiting and training opportunities for adult volunteers to lead youth development programs, and promotions for the 4-H program in Washington County, Ohio.
 
 
Gertrude Bigelow Baker Memorial Fund 
The Gertrude Bigelow Baker Memorial Fund was established by her family to celebrate Gertrude's caring attitudes as a loving mother and wife and her life-long contributions and participation in the cultural life of her college, church, and community. The Fund will provide for programs, equipment, instruments, personnel and other such needed expenses of the River Cities Symphony Orchestra
 
The Bartlett and Cutler After School and Enrichment Fund
Established in 2005 to support a wide range of charitable activties as advised by three named representatives of the Warren Local School District. Representatives are to be named on an annual basis by the Building Principal.
 
 
Eirik A.T. Blom Memorial Fund
 Established by the members of the Blom family and Bird Watcher's Digest, the magazine Rick was closely associated with for more than 14 years. The purpose of the fund is to perpetuate the memory and legacy of Rick Blom through the presentation of an annual Eirik A.T. Blom award to a deserving nonprofit bird club. These awards are to be used to help fund the club's publications and/or outreach to members and new bird watchers.
 
 
Carl L. Broughton Boathouse Endowment Fund
Established by George W. Broughton, the Harmar Rowing Club, and the Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club.  The endowment will provide a permanent source of financial support for the continued maintenance and future improvements of the Carl L. Broughton Boathouse and related equipment.

 Citizens Armory Preservation Society
 Established to provide for the preservation and restoration of the historic Armory in downtown Marietta, Ohio.
 
Sisters of St. Joseph Fund for Caring Connection
 Established as an endowment fund for the Caring Connection.
 

Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Betsey Mills Club
The Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Betsey Mills Club was established to celebrate the memory of Jane Case by providing for the maintenance and operations of the Betsey Mills Club in Marietta, Ohio
 

Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Marietta High School Crew Teams 
The Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Marietta High School Crew Teams was established to celebrate the memory of Jane Case by forever supporting the crew teams of Marietta High School in Marietta, Ohio.
 

Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Devola Volunteer Fire Department 
The Jane H. Case Memorial Fund for the Devola Volunteer Fire Department was established to celebrate her memory and provide for the Devola Volunteer Fire Department.
 

Bill Curran Fund 
Provides materials about alcohol, drug and other addictions and wellness issues for libraries at Marietta College, Washington State Community College and The Washington County Library.
 

Marietta College Chapter of Delta Upsilon Alumni Fund
 Established to cover incidental expenses at the Marietta College Chapter House.
 
 
Marietta Dog Park Fund
The Marietta Dog Park Fund was established to provide resources to erect and maintain a dog exercise park on property provided and maintained by the City of Marietta for use by the dog owners of the community to exercise their dogs in an unleashed, protected area.
 

The Mid-Ohio Valley Dragon Boat Fund
Created in 2006 through the inspiration of Gretchen Feldmaier to encourage and support people living with cancer to "Awaken the Dragon" within them through the sport of dragon boat racing.
 

The Dyar Endowment Fund
Income to be used to improve and enhance, over and above the regular budget, Christian education through Marietta’s Christ United Methodist Church or its successor.
 
The Faith Bible Church Hall Missionary Fund 
The Faith Bible Church Hall Missionary Fund was established in 2006 to facilitate funding a mission trip by Stacia Hall or such other person or persons, should for any reason Miss Hall be unable to fulfill the mission.
 

Agribusiness Planning Analysis Fund
 Created in 2007 to provide funding for local farmers/agri-business, who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend the instruction provided for adult farmers including, but not limited to, business planning and analysis training.  The fund also could provide the funding for agricultural instruction and other related expenses.
 

Fort Frye High School Academic Opportunity Fund
The Fort Frye High School Academic Opportunity Fund was established in 2004 by an anonymous donor as a permanent endowment. This Fund shall provide financial assistance to students in grades 7 through 12 that qualify for an academic extra-curricular activity but otherwise could not participate because of a demonstrated financial need. Fort Frye High School Auditorium Fund 
The Fort Frye High School Auditorium Fund was established in 2004 by an anonymous donor to provide seed money for the installation of an air conditioning system in the Fort Frye High School Auditorium.  Any remaining funds will be used as an endowment to provide for the continued maintenance and future enhancements of the Auditorium. MCF Dominion Resources Food Pantry Fund
Created by the Marietta Community Foundation, with assistance from the Dominion Gas Foundation, to support the Washington County Food Pantry Network.
 

Friends of the Armory Fund
The Friends of the Armory Fund was established in 2007 by the Armory Advisory Committee to provide a vehicle for funding the operation, renovation and management of the Armory Square Project.
 

OSU Extension Washington County Master Gardener Fund
 Created in 2007 to provide funding for the Master Gardener Program.
 

Jean G. Graham Endowment Fund
Established in memory of Jean Graham, a talented artist herself, to support equally three organizations: ARTSBRIDGE, the Ohio River Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters and Marietta Community Foundation for its general fund to be used for art programs or projects.
 
Harmar School PTO Fund 
The Harmar School PTO Fund was established in 2007 to assist with various projects designed to enhance the learning and life experience for students at Harmar School.
 

Anonymous Charitable Lead Trust
Established by an anonymous donor, the income is used to make annual gifts to six local charitable organizations: The O'Neill Senior Center, Marietta College, Marietta Memorial Health Foundation, Marietta Hospice Program, Washington County Historical Society and The First Presbyterian Church.
 
Hockenberry Fund
Created to assist the Washington County Historical Society with their Anchorage roof replacement project.  The remainder of the funds will be used towards the installation of the patio.
 
Humane Society of the Ohio Valley New Facilities Fund
The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley New Facilities Fund was established in 2009 by an anonymous donor to provide seed money for the building of a new shelter facility.  The fund may be used only for the purchase of property to erect an energy-efficient animal shelter or to erect said animal shelter on the present property leased from the Washington County Commissioners, located on Mt. Tom Road.  Any remaining funds shall be used as an endowment to provide for the continued maintenance and future enhancements of the new facility.
 
Humane Society of the Ohio Valley Medical Fund
 Established to provide resources for medical purposes of shelter animals exclusively, not to include spay/neuter expenses.
 
 
Jack Louis Iams Fund
The Jack Louis Iams Fund is a permanent endowment established through the generosity of Jack Iams to ensure the future of the historic Marietta property, The Castle.
 
The Richard P. Kremer Fund for the Benefit of St. Mary's Church
Established in 2006 from the estate of Richard P. Kremer with the principal to be held in the Marietta Community Foundation and the net income to be distributed annually to the St. Mary's Church.
 
The Richard P. Kremer Fund for the Benefit of St. Mary's School Foundation
Established in 2006 from the estate of Richard P. Kremer with the principal to be held in the Marietta Community Foundation and the net income to be distributed annually to the St. Mary's School Foundation.
 
Kroger Wetland Fund
Established to provide support for the preservation of the Kroger Wetland in Marietta, Ohio.
 

Project Lifesaver Fund
The Project Lifesaver Fund offers peace of mind to families of individuals living with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia by providing portable tracking devices to ensure that their loved ones are safe and secure.  Project Lifesaver is a cooperative program of the Washington County Sheriff's Department and the Area Agency on Aging.  Click for details.
 

 

The Foundation for Meigs County's Future Fund
The Foundation For Meigs County's Future was established in 2005 by a citizens group to promote the common good of Meigs County's Future.
 
Faith Bible Church Missionary Fund
Established to assist missionaries as selected by Faith Bible Church to go to the Mission Field.
 
Noble County Community Foundation
Established in 2005 by a citizens group to promote the common good of the Noble County area.
 
Ken & Mary Owen Charitable Remainder Unitrust
Provides income for life to donors, and upon their death the remainder will benefit the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley.
 
Washington County Partners Foundation Fund
The Washington County Partners Foundation Fund was established in 2007 by members of the partnership to provide a vehicle for funding of partnership activities in Washington County.
 
Incredible Community Playground Trust
For instruction, maintenance and organizational needs related to the playground.
 
The Faith Bible Church Hines Missionary Fund
The Faith Bible Church Hines Missionary Fund was established in 2006 to facilitate funding a mission trip by the Hines family or such other person or persons, should for any reason the Hines family be unable to fulfill the mission
 
River Trail Improvement Fund
 Created in 2007 to support the River Trail in the Marietta area.
 

Skaters United of Marietta Fund
 Established in 2005 to create a new skate park in the city of Marietta.  Founders Aaron Reynolds and Alex Wilson and others seek to provide recreational skating facilities to enhance the quality of life of Marietta and surrounding area.
 

Roy B. & Ellen E. Snediker Charitable Fund
Provides expense monies based on need to leaders of the active chapters of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority at Marietta College and to students studying abroad, as advised by the donors.
 
The Fund for the Preservation of St. Jacob's Church
The Fund for the Preservation of St. Jacob's Church was established to celebrate the memory of Ida P. Zimmer by providing expenses to provide ongoing maintenance of St. Jacob's Church.
 
Cynthia Summers Endowment Fund
This fund began as a memorial to Cynthia F. Summers, a teacher at Harmar School, who was known in the community for her commitment to young people. It now supports the work of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club.
 
Tefft Memorial Bluebird Trail Fund
Supports bluebird trail maintenance.
 
Telesis Alumni Fund
Established in 2004 to support the charitable activities of the Telesis leadership program.
 
The Marietta Area Community Tennis Association Fund
Created in 2006 to support the sport of tennis in the Marietta area.
 
Warren Activities Fund
Supports scholarships, special projects and student activities for the Warren Local School District.
 
Warren Local Schools Technology Fund
Established in 2004 to support a wide range of technology activities for Warren Local Schools as advised by the donors, Rodney, Kenna, and Andrew Short.
 
Young Emerging Leaders Fund
Established in 2005 to provide a funding vehicle for the number of activities and service initiatives that the Young Emerging Leaders of the Mid-Ohio Valley will be undertaking.
 
Young Engineers & Scientists Foundation Fund
Established in 2007 to support a wide range of charitable activities for promotion of educational awareness and further education of students in Washington County area to foster the desire to pursue further in the fields of science, engineering and related disciplines.
