As of December 31, 2008, the assets of the Foundation
totaled $8.9 million. These assets are held in 201 funds.
Gifts to the Foundation totaled $1.1 million in 2008.
Donors created 18 new funds.
Distributed $803,000 in grants to 492 nonprofit organizations.
Unrestricted Cycle Grants paid since 1992, the
Foundation's first grantmaking year, totaled $1.6 million,
providing support for programs in the arts and humanities, conservation,
education, health, community development, and social services
Asset Growth 1991-2008
As you can see, this last year was
one of great concern. However, maintaining our long-term perspective, we are
confident the funds you have entrusted to us will continue to grow over time.
Above all, remember, that the Marietta Community Foundation was established as
a permanent resource for this community.

Marietta Community Foundation's current, as well as past, Form

up a copy at our office located at 121 Putnam Street, Suite 105 (Office
hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Please allow approximately an hour for staff to make copies for

The Marietta Community Foundation's investment managers are Peoples Bank, WesBanco, Hazlet, Burt & Watson, Inc., Fleming Watson Financial Services, PNC Investments, Smith Barney, Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC, Edward Jones, Hartford and Parker-Hunter.
The Foundation's Finance Committee members are Jonathan Dehmlow, Chairman, William Donnelly, Doug Robinson, and Mark Schwendeman.
Marietta Community Foundation charges no administrative fees.
