Marietta Community Foundation is Now Accepting Grant Applications

The Marietta Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from charities serving residents of the Washington County area. Applications are due in the Foundation's offices by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7th.
The Foundation has assets of over $9 million and considers proposals three times a year. Grants in 2005 included the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department for a generator at their new building, Fairfield Township to assist with their community picnic shelter and the Village of New Matamoras for the summer swim program.
Thanks to very generous gifts from our Unrestricted Fund donors the Marietta Community Foundation is able to operate without charging fees to our fund holders. In 2005, over $800,000. was awarded in grants and scholarships. In total, over $8 million have been granted since the inception of the foundation in 1974.
