Fort Frye Auditorium Fund Receives Gift From Senior Class and Drama Club
Posted 2007-01-16 by MCF

Fund Nearing Half Way Mark
The members of the Senior Class at Fort Frye High School, along with members of the Drama Club at the school have made a contribution to the Fort Frye High School Auditorium Fund in the amount of $3,600.  This brings the fund total to nearly $50,000. or about half the estimated cost to provide air conditioning to the valuable community resource.
The Fort Frye High School Auditorium Fund was begun in 2004 with an anonymous gift of $25,000. specifically directed toward providing air conditioning for the auditorium.  Since then, numerous area businesses and individuals have made contributions and many fund raisers have been held to bring the fund to its current level.
Local author, Louise Holmes has pledged all of the proceeds from her children's book Miss Sadie and The Good Life to the fund.
Many community groups use the auditorium and the addition of air conditioning will make it useful and comfortable for the summer months.
