Noble County Community Foundation Announces Year Two Awards

The Noble County Community
Foundation's (NCCF) Board of Directors met recently and announced the recipients of its 2006 summer round of funding.
Ohio Valley Educational Service Center's Bright Beginning's Pre-School was awarded $325 to be used to purchase gross motor therapy equipment to help children who have a physical disability to improve motor skills and to become more independent. Bright Beginnings currently operates programs at both Noble Local and Caldwell schools Nearly 50 youth will be served by this program.
The Noble Learning Center was also awarded a $325 grant to help purchase playground equipment for their new facility located at the former national guard armory in Caldwell. In 2005 the Noble Learning Center provided services to more than 125 youth.
A third, $325 grant was made to the Noble County Youth Soccer Program to help cover costs of new soccer goals. NC Youth Soccer serves over 250 youth, ages 4-12, in Noble and surrounding counties.
The NCCF was founded in January of 2005 as an affiliate of the Marietta Community Foundation and provides a charitable resource to the community. Current Board members are Judy McMullen, President; Sawn Ray, Vice President; Don Ullmann, Joy Flood, Sharon Tanner, Jeff Minosky, Kristi Close, Andrea Hurst, and Bill Brelsford. Mike Lloyd serves as Secretary.
The NCCF is also planning another round of funding with applications to be received by January 10, 2007.
