Marietta Community Foundation President Tenders Resignation
Posted 2007-04-13 by MCF

Jack Moberg announced Tuesday he is stepping down from
the leadership role of the Marietta Community Foundation.

Moberg said, "At $10 million the Foundation is a much
different organization than it was at $5 million. The day to day needs
have changed and it's time for me to step aside and let
someone else take care of those needs. It is
time to reasses our operations and choose how best
to go forward and serve our constituents."

"It has been an honor to be associated with the
Foundation the last many years. To have been a very
small part of the many millions of dollars that have
passed through the foundation back to the community
has been an inspiration" said Moberg.

This ends nearly 15 years of service with the
Foundation for Moberg. He was first asked to be a member of
the Board of Directors of the Foundation
while he was President of the Marietta Chamber of Commerce.

After serving on the board for over 12 years he was tapped
to be the President of the Foundation in 2004, succeeding
Bret Bicoy who is now President of the Nevada
Community Foundation.

When asked about future plans, Moberg said that he and
his wife Barb will use the freed up time to serve their clients in
the nutrition business they have operated for nearly 5 years.

"We've become passionate about seeing lives change as a
result of nutritional changes that people make. We can truly touch future
generations by sharing that knowledge. It's nearly as
much fun as giving away other people's money."
